Co President Jan Wayne welcomed and greeted all. She thanked hostesses Dee Felice and Catharin Banta.
Membership Report – Membership Coordinator Margaret Stone called roll. Please be mindful to RSVP for club meetings. Members are welcome to invite prospective members to the February 2026 meeting. Guest Anne Young was present for her second visit. The club welcomed its newest member Therrissa Cohen.
Treasurer’s Report – Treasurer Anne Waring presented the treasury report. The club had a balance this month of $13,752.61 Dues can be paid for 2026: Active members, $100 and Associates, $60. The 2026 proposed budget presented to members in October was approved unanimously by vote of the membership. Treasurer Anne W has been working on getting the online banking platform Zelle set up for receipt of club dues.
Minutes Approved – Minutes from October 2025 meeting were unanimously approved by a call from Co President Jan W.
Presentation of 2026 Slate of Officers – The club unanimously voted to approve the slate of 2026 officers as follows: President, Ginger Michel; Vice President, Chrissy Filka; Recording Secretary, Dana Groves; Corresponding Secretary, Jean Faulkner; Treasurer, Anne Waring; Advisors Anne L and Jan W.
December Luncheon/Installation – Hendersonville Country Club on December 11, 2025, at 11:30 a.m. Invitations will go out on November 14, 2025. Please RSVP as soon as possible and by Dec. 1. Please remit the $40 fee. Please also remember to support Safe Light through buying gift cards.
Pardee Hospital Atrium – Members will decorate for the holidays on November 20, 2025 at 10 a.m.
Dahlia Project -- Co President Anne Lee discussed bringing dahlias and other flowers to community organizations and nursing homes throughout the year in 2026. Discussions will take place under the Civic Project Committee next year. Inactive member Jenny Brown has offered dahlias from her yard, and Amy Lynn Holt has offered flowers from her flower farm.
Funds from the Bazaar – Members can make suggestions about where donations from this year’s bazaar will go in 2026. There is a place on the website where members can note requests.
Website – A program suggestions icon is also on the website where members can make programming suggestions for next year. A few more locations are needed for meetings in 2026; please consider opening your home.
Christmas Bazaar Update –
J&D roof issues – There is a leak above the cash registers. This will be addressed.
Aprons – Find your aprons! Members not attending the Saturday bazaar, please allow new members to use them.
The club needs manpower during the week leading up to the Bazaar and especially the day of the bazaar.
Work schedule:
Monday – Clean-up Crew meet at J&D on Dec. 1 at 10:00 a.m.
Tuesday – 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. -- Bring greens to the back entrance of the Mill off of 6th Ave/ Edwards Street. NO WATER can be brought into the Mill from that entrance! Renter upstairs now.
Wednesday – Thursday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. -- Workdays at the Mill – we will be working on logs, mailbox saddles, greenery and wreaths.
Friday – ALL HANDS ON DECK! We will be transporting merchandise from the Mill to J&D. We need trucks and SUVs plus people to load at the mill and then folks to unload and get everything into J&D.
Saturday – If you can manage, we really need all day helpers.
6:30 a.m. – Set up crew; 7:30 a.m. – Food, Wreath Bar, Pricing; 8:00 – Everyone else arrives
*We want to pack everything up and take back to the Mill at the end of the day. Please, please stay and help so we can get it done as quickly as possible.
