Jackson Park Bird Outing

Join the Blue Ridge Audubon, a chapter of the National Audubon Society for their monthly bird walk at Jackson Park, a renowned birding location. On the 2nd Saturday of each month, meet at the Administration Building parking lot, located on Glover Street, and join the group to see the many wonderful birds found at Jackson Park, Hendersonville’s largest park.
Blooms at Biltmore

Celebrate Spring with a spectacular display of colorful blooms across the Biltmore estate. Starting on the first day of spring, Biltmore celebrates the legacy of Frederick Law Olmsted and his final project – George Vanderbilt’s magnificent Biltmore gardens. The bright colors in the gardens are brought inside with an opulent display of tropical plants and lavish flowers inside Biltmore House.
During this festival of flowers, see spring evolve with a steady progression of blooms with 100,000 bulbs planted on the estate. Tulips abound at Biltmore’s main entrance and the big display in the Walled Garden with 50,000 tulips, 14,000 daffodils and 1,000 hyacinths.

Main2Main is a non-competitive Walk & Roll celebration designed to bring the community together to experience the trail in an inclusive, accessible way.
Main2Main invites participants to walk, jog, run, bike, roller blade, or roller skate at their own pace along the Hendersonville section of the Ecusta Trail. The event will begin and end at the Hendersonville Welcome Center, with staggered participation and clear safety measures in place to ensure a positive experience for all users of the trail.
Henderson County 4-H Club Plant Sale
Plants are pre-ordered for a spring pickup on Saturday, April 18, 2026. All plants are sourced from local, regionally grown, certified USA nurseries. Every purchase directly supports Henderson County 4-H Youth Programs and Volunteers. Help us cultivate the future leaders of our community!
Asheville Orchid Festival
March 28-29, 2026
Hundreds of orchids will fill the Education Center at the North Carolina Arboretum in this show, which is one of the largest in the Southeast. See dazzling colors, exotic scents, and hints of an ancient world in carefully crafted displays. A full slate of experts is scheduled to present at the event, offering a daily repotting clinic, guided tours, and a variety of lectures. It's presented by the Western North Carolina Orchid Society (WNCOS).
The show is open Friday, 4-8 PM, and Saturday-Sunday, 9 AM-5 PM. Admission price varies.
