Christmas Bazaar Committees for 2025

These first five committees normally produce most of their items
in the months or weeks ahead of the Bazaar.

Washi

Chair: Laura Felt

  • This committee needs 8-10 members.

  • Members of this committee will make a variety of decorative items using a unique Japanese paper
    called Washi. This is done well
    in advance of the Bazaar.

Food

Chair: Jana Humleker and Sallie Carr

  • This committee does not have a limit. The more the merrier!

  • Members of this committee will bake a variety of items in their own kitchens. Baking assignments will be given out weeks ahead of the bazaar.

Crafts

Chair: June Brown

  • This committee needs 6 members.

  • Committee Members will create a variety of items during small workshops, usually at June Brown’s home.

Bulbs

Chair: Barbara Gresh

  • Barbara needs 4-5 volunteers.

  • This committee is responsible for sourcing, decorating and tending to the pots that will be planted with amaryllis and paper white bulbs well ahead of the Bazaar.

Publicity

Chairs: Amy Smith and Amy Lynn Holt

  • The publicity committee is largely responsible for advertising and promoting the Bazaar.

The committees below will require your time during
the week of the Bazaar and the day of the Bazaar.

Wreath Bar

Chairs: Dana Groves and
Kathy Carpenter.

  • This committee does not have
    a limit.

  • Committee members need to be
    available the week of the Bazaar and to work a morning or afternoon shift on the day
    of the Bazaar..

Logs

Chair: Karen Saine

  • This committee needs at least
    6 club members to work in the
    days leading up to the Bazaar.

  • Committee members decorate
    both Yule logs and holiday
    centerpiece logs.

Live Greens

Chair: Carol Lyne Sumner

  • This committee does not have a limit.

  • Committee members will be responsible for gathering live greens a few days in advance of the Bazaar and then sorting and arranging them for the “workshop days” at the mill during the week of the Bazaar.

Check Out

Chair: Ginger Michel

  • THIS IS ONLY A ONE-DAY
    VOLUNTEER POSITION - eight
    volunteers are needed.

  • If you volunteer to work on
    this committee, please be sure you are
    serving on another committee.
    Volunteers to this committee will be
    helping customers at the check-out
    counter on the day of the Bazaar.

Mailbox Saddles

Chair: Ginny Mitchell

  • This committee needs 5 members.

  • Committee members will make the
    mailbox saddles a day or two in
    advance of the Bazaar.

Set Up and Take Down

Chair: Margaret Stone

  • This committee needs as many people as
    possible. (Many hands make light work!)

  • This committee has the critical task of setting up tents and tables, etc and getting the space at J&D Produce prepared for the Bazaar.

  • We will also be on hand after the Bazaar to
    take the set-up down.
